Anteroom Free Poetry Workshops
To celebrate our upcoming first annual cash prize poetry competition, we warmly invite you to write along with like minded poets each week with a prompt of a competition winning poem.
Over four weeks beginning on October 2nd, you will read one or two award winning poems by our editors as a prompt to invoke some award winning writing of your own! Each week will reveal a new poem with differing themes and styles. At the end of the class we will open up for process sharing or questions for a short time. Each class lasts one hour. We will alternate weeks where two will be evening classes and two in the daytime for preference. The workshops are online and via zoom.
We have created these events to give back to our community as our competition has a submission fee. We are so grateful to the poetry community for supporting the magazine with your submissions. To enable us to gift a cash prize we must do so. We hope that through this path we can nurture growth mutually and generously. We appreciate you poetry community!
Our editor Jai Michelle Louissen is heading up the event in collaboration with our contributing editors, we welcome you to join in our enthusiasm for brilliant poetry and the opportunity to build community with these events. We'd love to meet you!
The workshops are free but it would support us immensely if you gave a small donation to our paypal address anteroompoetry@gmail.com. Please write to us to confirm your attendance to the same mail address and we will register you for the event. Please let us know which week(s) you would like to join and you so you can be sent the correct zoom link. .
